We are now looking for a Swedish-speaking Senior Travel Consultant to join our growing team in Copenhagen.

In this key role, you will play an important part in expanding our customer base and driving sales within the Swedish market. You will join an international and dynamic business, working closely with colleagues across different countries and cultures while representing the Emirates Holidays brand.

You will use your travel expertise, destination knowledge and consultative sales skills to create memorable holidays tailored to individual customer needs, while delivering exceptional service and identifying opportunities to maximise each booking.

What will I be doing?

• Achieve agreed sales, service, conversion and customer experience targets.
• Create and sell tailored holiday itineraries including flights, accommodation, meal plans, multi-centre holidays, excursions, tours and ancillary products.
• Identify appropriate upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximise customer value while ensuring recommendations meet individual customer needs.
• Manage sales and service enquiries and correspondence within agreed service levels.
• Build strong customer relationships to encourage loyalty, repeat business and continued growth within the Swedish market.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Emirates Holidays products, destinations, entry requirements, tours, excursions and wider travel developments.
• Work effectively with airlines, hotels, ground handlers and other third-party suppliers to support bookings and resolve customer requirements.
• Create and manage complex, tailor-made, twin-centre and multi-centre itineraries.
• Support customers confidently during disruption, cancellations and other unexpected events before or during travel.
• Contribute positively to team performance and support wider sales, service and operational activity as required.
• Share ideas and recommendations that support improved customer experience and commercial performance.
• Manage multiple priorities effectively within a fast-paced sales and service environment.

Qualification

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience within the travel industry, ideally within tour operating, retail travel or a similar customer-facing travel environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience working towards sales, conversion or revenue targets.
• Excellent customer service skills and a strong understanding of how to create a high-quality customer experience.
• Strong destination and geographical knowledge, particularly across the UAE, Indian Ocean and Asia.
• Experience using GDS and/or CRS systems.
• Confidence creating and selling complex or tailor-made travel itineraries.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers.
• A proactive and collaborative approach, with the confidence to share ideas and recommendations.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and strong general IT skills.
• Flexibility to support the business during peak trading periods and periods of operational disruption.

Knowledge of the Danish and Swedish travel markets, including relevant consumer protection requirements, travel industry regulations and GDPR, would be advantageous.

Our essentials:

• Fluent Swedish, with a good command of Danish and English.
• The right to work in Denmark, as the role is based in our Copenhagen office.
• Previous travel industry experience.
• Strong knowledge and experience of destinations across the UAE, Indian Ocean and Asia.
